Welcome, I’m Gary Patterson. Today, we’re going to talk about how to identify a top priority. I have found that it works best if you do this in a group of three and I’m going to give you three different ways to do it, pick the one you like or vary it. First what are the three most important things that you should do in the next day? Secondly, is you look at this and you say what is something that’s really easy that I can accomplish and feel good, what is something that’s urgent that I have to get out of the way and what is one long term strategic issue that I should work on. The third option becomes what is one thing that is personal that I should work on today and then I like to do the what’s urgent to keep my boss happy and third, what is this strategic issue because what you find if you will look at three, it’s large enough that you have breath, it’s short enough that you can focus. And the reason you are doing this is you have to get better at working on your business not in your business and the reason you can look at this as an opportunity because inch by inch life is a cinch. Thank you for joining us today.
